Back from Jamaica and New York and am about to go to college in two days. so as promised here are some pics from some stuff that i've done of late.

well before we left my dad retired from the navy. which was pretty cool cause the assistant secretary of state was there adn gave this big long speech about my dad's navy career.  And a side note my dad just got told that he is a finalist for the Maryland Innovator of the year award.  kind of ironic that we live in PA now but oh well.

So the day after he retired we got on a plane and flew to jamaica and stayed in this like 3 million dollar villa place that one of his patients owns and let us stay in complete with 5 servents/cooks/gardeners. and here are some pics from it.

the building in the middle is the one my parents stayed in and the one you can only see a little piece of on the right is where hope and zach stayed and where we ate dinner.

and that building is where i stayed.

and so we played golf and i learned to sail.  Thats me coming back from a small voyage on my small sailing vessel named the solomon (you have ot be a pretty close friend to know where that comes from

And then the day after i got back i went and picked up christine and we went to NYC.

there we are at that statue of liberty thing which i guess is still cool even though it came from the french.

and there is my favorite part the statue of liberty. Despite us having to wait in like a million lines to get up it.  It was still pretty awesome.  well now i'm about to go off to college so if i ever have any free time that will be were my next post is from!

Well I'm still in Jamaica.  Two more days till i get to fly home.  It been alright but it hits 100 pretty much everyday and the humidity is like 80-90% so thats been a little rough.  But haveing the servents has been pretty nice.  However It seems like everyone in Jamaica is trying to scam the tourists.  And tourists are pretty easy to identify considering that there are literally no white people that live here everyone who is white is a tourist so the people scam us.  So here are some exciting stories fo people trying to scam us.  So we were walking into this place that has this like pretty good size series of waterfalls that you get to climb up.  And you have to buy tickets to get in.  So this lady comes up to us as we are going in and leaving the parking lot, that we need to buy tickets from her.  And so my dad is like shelling out money cause he was in vacation mode and all and then I look at her shirt and realize that it had a symble that looked remarkably similar to the one I just saw on the side of a tour bus.  So I am like wait a second dad, and I ask here if she worked for the tour company and she was like "uhhhhhh" and so I was like no thanks we'll go and buy the real tickets form the counter.

Then later we went to this like little craft market place and you could see all the venders licking their lips as they saw fresh tourist meat to try to sell their stuff to at rediculous prices.  So they were quite surprised when I bargained them down to below half of what he originally told me.  So I make the purchase and me and zach are walking away.  And this guys starts welling come back.  And then he is like literally chasing us through this market.  And so we stop and he comes up and is like give me the stuff back i didn't charge enough money.  And so after we were like I'm not giving you any more money he finally like gave us the money back and took back the stuff.  So we went to another guy and bought basically the same stuff for the same price so the other guy just lost out.

Well I've learned how to sail small seaworthy crafts (ie. sunfish, and hobycats) and that is quite good.  I'm preparing for my future yachting days.  And today i went SCUBA diving.  Can't wait to be back in DC. SEE You all SOON.

alright i'm going to try this again.

Well i haven't posted in probably about 3458 days so this will probably be about the longest xanga post of all time.  Since I last posted I've gone to my senior prom, graduated form high school, spent a week SCUBA diving in the bahamas and north of Cuba, and moved to Lancaster (quite possibly the most boreing place i have ever been to).  So here are some pictures of the things listed above.

There now you can hopefully see the picture explaining why i'm such a lucky guy.

there's me getting ready to dive into the blue depths of the carribean.  That dive i hit 111 ft. in depth and the bottom was about 700 ft. below me.

there's me in my covetting yachting jacket enjoying a surface interval in a small storm we hit that had gusts of wind so strong people couldn't get back on the boat out of the water.  They literally were getting blown off the ladder to climb back on.  Luckily nobody got hurt on the boat i was on and nobdoy lost any gear from the storms but I did lose my digital camera when my dad's air cylinder slipped off his back at about 50ft. of water in a strong current.  I had to reconnect it under water while trying to make sure we didn't lost track of where we were from the current.  however, one of us (cough cough my dad cough cough) dropped the camera as i passed it back to him to reconnect his tank.

here are two of the dozens of sharks we saw underwater.  We got to witness an out of cage shark feeding.  My dad and I, along with a bunch of other divers from the boat, dove down and knealed on the bottom of the ocean as a boat on the surface dropped a bunch of pieces of dead barracuda strung out on a long chain.  No sooner had they done this then dozens of sharks (the largest between 8 and 10 ft. in length) swam around eating withing 10 feet in front of us.  The coolest part was after they were done feeding on the fish they swam around us coming literally within inches.  You easily could have reached out and touched them if you wanted to.

Soon after i got back from the trip we moved to lancaster, PA. amish country... ya... boredom beyond reason... anyway i've painted for hours upon end including redoing my bedroom.  here are some before and after pics.

BEFORE...

AFTER...

so anyway this saturday i'll be going to jaimaca with my family for hopefully some more scuba diving and such.  Then soon after that I'm off to Georgetown and i get to move back to civilization!  I mean you really should not have to drive half an hour to get to a starbucks.  Its just barbaric.  So i'm rambleing on and on because there is nothign else to do here because we've watched every movie on HBO about 3.7 times so its just lost its thrill.  Well I hope you've enjoyed this extended and lengthy Xanga post. TTYL!
